Largest recycled artwork – 200,000 aluminum cans and 50 meters long

Coke, to mark the National recycling week (June 22-28) and to encourage people to recycle more, has come up with the world’s largest recycled artwork. Ten main workers and about 100 volunteers led by Robert Bradford; used 200,000 crushed aluminum cans to make this 50 meter long artwork, on the Sussex coast.
The idea is to encourage recycling and think about the value of aluminum cans specifically, because this precious metal can live forever through recycling. This artwork, which took about a week’s time, will now be recycled to keep a television running for seventy years. Video after the jump.
